This week our team gather for the first time and introduced ourselves. After exchanging names and information, we decided on Groupme for our main method of communication. Once we set up our blog site and Groupme accounts, we started doing some light brainstorming and Jacqueline provided a lot of great ideas. Out of all the ideas, I think I like the possibility of working with one of the Latino organizations she’s a part of called MASA. I think it’d be a beneficial opportunity to share their stories and goals as an organization. We managed to have a decent amount of dialogue between preferences for ideas, but we didn’t specifically land on anything.
The most useful part of the meeting in my opinion occurred when we all shared our strengths and talents. I shared that I have decent videography and editing skills, along with writing. We found out one of our teammates specializes in photography, while others preferred graphic design and writing. I think our team has an over all, advantageous set of talents, and I’m confident this project will go smoothly.
As far as challenges go, it seems we all have very busy schedules. That’s not very unusual at all but for me personally, I do fear myself having too full of a schedule this semester. Then again, I thrive under pressure!
